Depression can feel like a huge, dark cloud hanging over you. It can negatively colour your perspective, drain the warmth out of your life and dampen your desire to engage with the people you love and the activities you used to enjoy. It can make you feel like the sun is never going to come out again. Depression can make you fearful and convince you that you’re worthless or hopeless. It can affect your appetite and sleep patterns and leave you feeling exhausted. Sometimes it can even give you unexplained physical aches and pains.
